WINGS CREATION GUIDE( from 1 to 3 level)

Chaos items creation:

Talk with the Chaos Goblin in Noria at coordinates 180, 100.
Select the option Chaos Weapon Combination.
In the 8 x 4 Chaos storage area, place:

* One (1) or more Level 4 (minimum)+Option 4% (minimum) item(s).
* One (1) or more Jewel(s) of Chaos.
* Appropriate amount of Zen needed

After confirming success rate, press the Combining button.

If the combination succeeds, one Chaos Dragon Axe, Chaos Thunder Staff or Chaos Nature Bow will be randomly created.
If the combination fails, all items and zen used in the combination are lost or the level and option of the item(s) may drop randomly.


Wings and Capes creation:

First Stage Wings creation:

Talk with the Chaos Goblin in Noria at coordinates 180, 100.
Select the option Regular Combination.
In the 8 x 4 Chaos storage area, place:

* One (1) or more Level 4 (minimum)+Option 4% (minimum) Chaos item(s)
* One (1) or more Jewel(s) of Chaos
* Appropriate amount of Zen needed

Maximum success rate is 100%.
After confirming success rate, press the Combining button.

If the combination succeeds, one Heaven Wings, Satan Wings or Elf Wings will be randomly created.
If the combination fails, all items and zen used in the combination are lost.

Second Stage Wings creation:

Talk with the Chaos Goblin in Noria at coordinates 180, 100.
Select the option Regular Combination.
In the 8 x 4 Chaos storage area, place:

* One (1) First Stage Wing (Summoner wings cannot be used)
* One (1) or more Jewel(s) of Chaos
* One (1) Loch's Feather
* Appropriate amount of Zen needed

Maximum success rate is 90%.
After confirming success rate, press the Combining button.

If the combination succeeds, one ArchAngel Wings, Devil Wings, Spirit Wings or Darkness Wings will be randomly created.
If the combination fails, all items and zen used in the combination are lost.

Cape of Dark Lord creation:

Talk with the Chaos Goblin in Noria at coordinates 180, 100.
Select the option Regular Combination.
In the 8 x 4 Chaos storage area, place:

* One (1) First Stage Wing
* One (1) or more Jewel(s) of Chaos
* One (1) Crest of Monarch
* Appropriate amount of Zen needed

After confirming success rate, press the Combining button.

If the combination succeeds, one Cape of Dark Lord will be created.
If the combination fails, all items and zen used in the combination are lost.

A few remarks:

The rates of the chaos machine are heavily influenced by the option level of your item. When making a chaos weapon the addition of at maximum 4 Jewel of Life will give the maximum improvement on the success rate. Don't add more, it will not improve but worsen! For example a Heliacal Sword +4+4 will give a success rate of 7% where as the same sword at +8+4 will have a rate of 27 procent. However, that same sword at +4+16 will have a rate of 22% whereas that sword at +8+16 will already deliver the desired 100% success rate.

The above also applies to the usage of chaos weapons. I've experimented a bit with a Chaos Dragon Axe. At +4+4 it will have a rate of 11% and at +7+4 it will have a rate of 25%. However, at +4+16 the CDA has a success rate of 41% and at +7+16 it has a success rate of 99%. So the important observation here is that the Jewel of Life is a very valuable asset to wing crafters.

Multiple items can be used to create a chaos weapon and that the respective rates for the individual items will stack. For example, using TWO Heliacal Swords +9+4 will give you twice the rate of 43% hence in total a rate of 96%.

Another remark involves the creation of 2nd class wings. You mention that one should create +9+12 1st level wings to have decent rates when creating 2nd level wings from them. However, the rate can also be improved by adding one or more EXCELLENT items of at least +4+4 levels. For example: using plain Satan Wings (+0+0) combined with a Feather and Chaos Jewel AND a pair of Exc. Hurricane Boots +4+8 gives you a success rate of almost 90%. So in stead of spending all them jewels on the wings trying to make them +9+12 these might be better spent on excellent items as to improve the rate.



3RD WINGS CREATION:


1st Combination: Feather of Condor:

Talk with the Chaos Goblin in Noria at coordinates 180, 100.
Select the option Regular Combination.
In the 8 x 4 Chaos storage area, place:

* One (1) or Ancient Item Level 7 (minimum)+Option4% (minimum) [best option is +12. Going over +12 will lower you success rate % by a lot]
* One (1) 2nd Stage Wing (Summoner wings cannot be used) Level 9 (minimum)+Option 4% (minimum) [best option is +12. Going over +12 will lower you success rate % by a lot]
* One (1) or more Jewel(s) of Chaos
* One (1) Jewel of Creation
* One (1) Stack of 10 Jewels of Soul
* Appropriate amount of Zen needed (success rate % * 20,000 Zen)

Maximum success rate is 60%.
After confirming success rate, press the Combining button.

If the combination succeeds, one Feather of Condor will be created.
If the combination fails, all items used in the combination are lost.

2nd Combination: 3rd Stage Wing:

Talk with the Chaos Goblin in Noria at coordinates 180, 100.
Select the option Regular Combination.
In the 8 x 4 Chaos storage area, place:

* One (1) Flame of Condor
* One (1) Feather of Condor
* One (1) or more Excellent Item Level 9 (minimum)+Option 4% (minimum) [best option is +12. Going over +12 will lower you success rate % by a lot]
* One (1) or more Jewel(s) of Chaos
* One (1) Jewel of Creation
* One (1) Stack of 10 Jewels of Soul
* One (1) Stack of 10 Jewels of Bless
* Appropriate amount of Zen needed (success rate % * 20,000 Zen)

Maximum success rate is 40%.

After confirming success rate, press the Combining button.

If the combination succeeds, one 3rd Stage Wing will be randomly created.
If the combination fails, the Excellent Items will lose their Item Level and options, while all other items and zen used in the combination are lost.
